Allow my words to colour your world!                                                                   Marion Ueckermann

"My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer."  Psalm 45v1

Why do I write?

Strangely enough, I never really cared much for English when I was at school. If anyone had told me back then that one day I'd have this burning desire to write (or the ability), I would have laughed at them. It took nearly forty years for this latent talent to manifest itself.

For several years, I've had an unexplainable urge to write, but not knowing what subject or genre to choose, I started seeking God earnestly for direction about my writing passion. My desire is that my writing must not only be interesting and entertaining, but also meaningful to my readers. My writing needs to have eternal worth. After weeks of prayer, God gave me the vision for my first novel, and eight months later, this debut work, Prodigal, was complete. Now I am on the long journey to becoming published.

I have countless ideas for other novels, and have already started on three further stories, one being the sequel to my first novel. With all these words creatively swimming around my head, I need somewhere to store them, and what better place than to put them to paper.
